Don’t you love visiting botanical gardens in a region away from your home territory? From a distance it appears as though this tree is laden with small mushrooms. As you draw closer you can read the description “Ficus Macrophylla”, or its more common name “Fig Tree”. The Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo, on Florida’s Gulf Coast cover some 150 acres of lush-ness. The abundance of exotic tropical vegetation and native flora, plants and trees fills one’s senses to overflowing. A great place to visit with camera in hand.
