New Orleans Mansion
If it’s your first trip or a return trip you must take half a day to tour the Garden District of New Orleans. “Nawlins” as the locals pronounce it is a city of energy, music, fun and magnificent mansions. The Garden District is not a large tract of land, perhaps 0.5 square kilometers. But don’t let its compact size make you think you can breeze past its tree-lined city blocks in a few minutes. History and architectural enthusiasts will rave over the beautiful homes with their huge columns, expansive covered verandas and wrought iron fences. I know a return trip is on my bucket list.
