There were thousands and thousands of motorcycles and scooters on the busy streets of Paris every day during our two week vacation in May 2016. It boggles the mind how motorcyclists can skilfully weave between huge buses and maneuver their vehicles into tiny crevices. It all seems to defy the laws of physics. Thankfully we did not see any traffic accidents involving motorcycles, or indeed any kind of traffic accident.
With the insane amount of traffic in Paris, motorcyclists park their vehicles on sidewalks or in specially designated parking areas. It is a much safer alternative than to leave a motorcycle parked alongside a curb on the street.
