Owls’ Club Mansion
Built in 1902 as a home for the Fraternal Order of Owls, a club of affluent bachelors, this historical building is now a private residence and not open to the public. However it is on walking maps of downtown Tucson. Designed by architect Henry Trost in the Mission Revival style, it has an elegant facade with large Spanish-style arched windows and doorways. Further research would likely uncover why Tucson’s group of bachelors was initially called “Owls’ Club”. Guesses, anyone?
